The Mikado Project to premiere at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival
WHO: The Mikado Project, a feature film directed by Chil Kong starring Tamlyn Tomita, Allen C. Liu, Erin Quill, David Lee McInnis, Gerald McCullouch, Yuri Tag, Raymond J. Lee with Rizwan Manji, Freda Foh Shen, and Ryun Yu. Executive produced by John Carrozza and Quan Phung.
WHAT: The Mikado Project is a musical comedy feature film based on the play written by Ken Narasaki and Doris Baizley and adapted for film by Chil Kong. The Mikado Project has officially been selected and will world premiere at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film festival organized by Visual Communications.

Featuring hip-hop music and dance numbers choreographed by members of dance troupes Kaba Modern and Jabbawockeez, The Mikado Project is a modern reconstruction of The Mikado, a beloved comedy operetta by legendary collaborators Gilbert and Sullivan, that challenges the concept of the caricaturized Asians and captures the struggles that Asian Americans face today.
